Legendary Staff!
The day finally came! Thursday 13/10-2011 - I got my legendary staff.
I have not have time to decently test it in PvE, but i gotta tell you, PvP. Now THAT has increased it's fun factor with the staff.
I have run some different combo's including RMP/MR/MM and sometimes the kills i get is amazing.
Yesterday i dropped a 4k resi DK in 2 Globals, i'm sure they were quite supprised. But then again, the staff is a proc, and sometimes the staff just does not proc, or proc at bad times, but overall, it is a very big funfactor increase in pvp! I will probably make some video of it soon!

Shannox

- Rageface's health has been reduced by 15%.
- Magma Flare damage and Hurl Spear damage have been reduced by 15% on both difficulties.
If you ask me, was the nerf needed? No!
The nerf should have been introduced once 4.3 was released, the same way they did when 4.2 was introduced.
This is the first time in World of Warcraft's history that they nerf current content to such an extent, and to the majority of the community, it was not a welcomed one.
----------
On a different note, we got Heroic Alysrazor down today, post-nerf, though we had never tried her pre-nerf, i kinda wish we had.
Getting 280k+ combustion ticks sure was nice! :). Post in your comments below how high you have gotten on your combustion ticks!

Dragonwrath Questline - Smoldering Essences Updated Changes
With all the changes back and forth, here will be the final decision from blizzard about the droprate of Smouldering Essences:
With theese changes it seems more fair for the 10 man people compared to the 25 man players, and well, to be fair, the nerf was kinda fair, since having too many legendaries around, really takes the legendary out of legendary.
Atm in my own guild, we almost have 1 legendary, and i am about to start collecting my Smouldering Essences. We have one guy on the Seething Cinders and one guy on the Eternal Embers.
Though i must applaud blizzard for the way they enables multiple people to be on the quest at the same time.
- 25-player heroic has 44% lower drop rates in phase 3 relative to 4.2 launch.
- 25-player normal remains unchanged from 4.2 launch.
- 10-player heroic remains unchanged from 4.2 launch.
- 10-player normal has 33% higher drop rates in phase 3 relative to 4.2 launch.

Mages and the mystery of the (broken) Arcane Power glyph
As many of you possibly have noticed, the very awesome looking glyph of Arcane Power which should do the following:
The first thing anyone would do after equipping this glyph, is of course to create a macro that binds two important abilities together, Arcane Power and Mirror Image. Why not? Since it would be off the global cooldown, what harm could it do?
A such macro would look something like this
This is because of the way blizzard handle's macro, and they handle them client side, and first checking if a glyph was activated together with Arcane Power AFTER the macro have finished, hence leaving you with a global cooldown less!
What to do, what to do? With this problem, is the glyph even worth something? - Yes it is! As i wrote before, the Arcane Power glyph is first taken into consideration after the macro have finished casting, and by utilizing a Blizzard macro system called "/castsequence", one is able to cast a sequence of spells, by numerous click on the same macro, and hence making sure the game have understood that Arcane Power and the glyph is active. A such macro looks as the following:
1. Mirror Image is ready - Repeatedly click the macro untill the second Arcane Blast is casting, then return to your original Arcane Blast button.
2. Mirror Image is not ready - Repeatedly click the macro untill the first Arcane Blast is casting, then return to your original Arcane Blast button.
Video of it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOM0L9U8KAY
This is a very important thing to notice for an arcane mage, since losing a global cooldown during a dire situation, who really needs that?
This concludes the mystery of the Arcane Power glyph.
While Arcane Power is active the global cooldown of your Blink, Mana Shield, and Mirror Image is reduced to zero.In itself, for an arcane mage, shaving off global cooldowns is a huge thing, so why not take it? And ideed this is a glyph we want. But is it working as intended?

/cast Arcane Power
/cast Mirror Image
